Conus xicoi (Röckel, D., 1987) – 32,4mm
CON02115
Grade , Locality:
F++/F+++ , Angola
HUGE & RARE!
With a minor scar on dorsum doesn’t harms this beauty, HUGE and VERY RARE species! Superb tick lip (not filled), except for a tiny nick in channel, and one of the biggest specimens I’ve seen before of this RARE species. Impossible to get this species nowadays because the habitat and local site was destroyed after maritime and civil works, to enlarge a marine port and infrastructures so this species can be extinct already! This specimen resembles Conus jourdani (Motta, A.J. da, 1984) from St. Helena! Low starting price for a super rare species! A great shell for Connoisseurs! OUT OF MY PRIVATE COLLECTION! Ex collection of Christfried Schönherr, Angola, Luanda, Cacuaco Bay dived among rocks 2-3 mts. 30-12-1990
