CON02308
Grade , Locality:
F++/F+++ , Brazil
van Mol, Tursch & Kempf, 1967
The biggest I’ve ever have seen! This species has been confused with the related species Conus villepinii. C. capricorni are more coarsely sculptured and darker colored than C. villepini (see Monnier et al (2018) on p. 410. Its forbidden to trawler in Brazil nowadays! So its harder to get this species nowadays, only from old collections. OUT FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION! DON’T MISS IT! Cabo de Santa Marta, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, dredged at 75-100meters. Old collection
